Despite increasing coronavirus infected cases and deaths, Albanian students will return to classrooms as schools and universities open in September.
Minister of Education Besa Shahini announced the news on August 18. She added that classrooms will be disinfected by the municipality regularly, and pupils will receive instructions on how to properly distance socially.
In a joint video conference with Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu, Shahini said that work is underway to draft protocols that will guide the reopening of schools. She added that scenarios will vary from one school to the other, depending on the number of students that attend them.
