More than 90 percent of teachers in Albania have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu announced the news during a hearing with the Parliamentary Committee on Health focused on recent government measures regarding the pandemic.
“28,512 teachers have been vaccinated so far. There is good coverage of vaccination with a first and second dose, with 90 percent of teachers in elementary and secondary schools having received one or both doses,” the minister stated.
Albania has also launched campaigns to vaccinate university professor and students since September.
Nearly 900 thousand people have been fully vaccinated so far in the country.
