On 18 May, Albania’s bars and restaurants will reopen but with strict social distancing guidelines in place.
According to a Facebook post from Prime Minister Edi Rama, such businesses will be allowed to open until 5:30 pm and only the outside areas can be used. Owners and clients must observe social distancing and hygiene requirements.
All cultural and artistic events are still banned and gatherings in a public space, indoors or outdoors, of more than five people, are not allowed.
In addition to this, Rama said new repatriation flights have been added and those returning to Albania will have to self-quarantine at home for two weeks.
