The Minister of Finance, Anila Denaj stated today that President Ilir Meta has been informed about the loan for the Vlora-Orikum road.
During a press conference, Denaj confirmed that this is not a new loan but a previously negotiated one.
“The President of the Republic has been informed with two letters about the loan. Regarding the term negotiation and the reasons for the change. It is not about taking on a new financial obligation outside the budget forecasts and previously reallocated financial terms. This is a reallocation previously secured after an agreement. “
She added that the government wants to implement an infrastructure project, stressing that neither the amount nor the deadline has changed.
“What is required to be achieved is to implement an infrastructure project in the same country with a negotiated fund according to the constitutional provisions. Neither the amount nor the term will change. This agreement with the company paved the way for work. “
President Meta accused the government on Tuesday of violating the Constitution and the law in financing the Vlora-Orikum road. He listed all the violations of this project.
