Albanian Government Confirms 23 Cases of Coronavirus

There are 23 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Albania, according to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Health.

A total of 16 cases have been confirmed in the capital of Tirana, two in Durres, two in Elbasan and one in Rrogozhina. Five of those affected are in the Infectious Diseases Hospital in a stable condition while the rest remain at home in self-isolation with no major concerns.

Two of the cases were a result of contact with the woman who died in Durres yesterday.

The ministry stated that they have conducted 298 tests so far.

Both Tirana and Durres will be in lockdown from tomorrow morning until Sunday at midnight with all movement by private vehicles prohibited.
