As a part of ongoing humanitarian operations across the country, some 12,749 families have been provided with food parcels and 1328 with medical assistance.
The measures are due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic that has locked down the whole of Albania and kept citizens in home and out of work.
Local municipalities and the army have been providing relief to elderly people, those living alone, and families in need.
The news was announced today via Prime Minister Edi Rama. He said that food parcels would continue to be distributed throughout the country to those that need help.
