The Albanian State Police have published a number of measures that they say should be applied by all citizens as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They ask citizens and residents to strictly observe security protocols in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Measures include:
- No large gatherings, caution in festive and funeral ceremonies and ensuring social distancing is maintained.
- Avoiding staying inside bars, cafes and restaurants as well as markets and shopping malls.
- Not accepting customer service from people not wearing protective masks and gloves.
- Not gathering in public places.
The police also stated that they have updated the list of all those infected with COVID-19 and will check randomly to ensure they are self-isolating. Measures will be taken against those who violate the rules, they said.
