Lulzim Basha, head of the Democratic Party (PD), has announced that the party will enter Parliament in September.
Basha made the announcement today, during the Party’s ongoing National Assembly.
According to Basha, although the party still believes that the ruling Socialist Party won the April 25 elections through vote-buying, they will pursue their efforts to prove this in Parliament.
In 2019, the Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) resigned their mandates and quit Parliament en masse, claiming that the 2017 elections were rigged. Their decision effectively handed Rama and his party full control over Parliament and the country’s legislative agenda.
