The Alliance for the Protection of the National Theater has announced a second protest for today, Wednesday at 17:30, following the demolition of the theater last Sunday.
It will take place at the same place as last time, near the theater ground and the Ministry of Interior in Tirana.
The Alliance is calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj to be brought to justice for the illegal demolition of the theater.
They are also calling for the release of 8 activists arrested during Sunday’s protest and taken to the court. The Tirana Court is expected to decide on their detention today. Dozens others were released after being detained several hours in custody.
