Another Round Wasted, Ruçi Puts Pressure on LSI

The third round of the presidential elections passed again without any candidate.

The fourth round will be held tomorrow at 17:00.

This time, any candidate will only need 71 votes to be elected. So far no candidate has been presented. This also means that the so-called attempt to propose presidential candidate that is based on a consensus with the opposition has definitively failed.

Meanwhile the PS is putting the LSI under pressure. According to leader of the parliamentary group of the PS, Gramoz Ruçi:

To inform the Speaker [Ilir Meta], we socialists have made our calculations. We have had and will have 71 votes, even without the LSI, to elect the President. But I hope that you will not force us, nor do we plan, to trample on the morale of this political force because the PS does not desire to solve with the force of numbers this important issue for Albania the coming five years.
