The Serious Crimes Appeals Court has removed the limitation imposed on the freedom of movement of former Minister Saimir Tahiri. On December 12, the Serious Crimes Court imposed a block on Tahiri’s passport, banning foreign travel, and obliged him to report weekly to the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office.
It is unclear on which basis the Appeals Court has made its decision.
Tahiri, who was expelled from the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, continues to be under investigation for corruption and international drug trafficking as part of the criminal organization of his cousins, the Habilaj brothers.
