Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu has stated that the average age of those infected with COVID-19 is 45 years old. She added that the current number of cases was higher than she had previously anticipated.
“What we are seeing is that it has affected young people as well. The average age of those affected is reduced to about 45 years. According to the reports of the Infectious Diseases Service, there are cases of patients who are without other pathologies and have severe symptoms and are in danger,” Manastirliu said.
She also announced that a two-month-old baby had been hospitalised with COVID-19. The mother of the child is also hospitalised after testing positive for the virus.
