During a parliamentary group meeting yesterday, the PD decided to exclude anyone who “sells” their vote directly from the PD. Party leader Lulzim Basha called for the meeting after two PD deputies had voted in favor of the election of former communist minister Gramoz Ruçi as Speaker of Parliament.
Also former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke during the meeting, stating that the two PD deputies, whose identity is still unknown, had sold their votes and that there is not possibility that the vote had been manipulated. Berisha also announced that no deputy will be allowed to take a political position without first consulting with the entire parliamentary group.
