Catch-Up Classes Announced for Students that Couldn’t Remote Learn During Pandemic

The Ministry of Education has announced that school will resume on 14 September.

Students in grade 1-5 who didn’t have access to online learning during the pandemic will have access to catch-up classes between 31 August and 11 September.

The majority of these students are from vulnerable communities such as Roma, Egyptian or those in remote areas.

Teaching in schools will take place according to all hygiene protocols and will include social distancing.

The Ministry did not provide further details on the number of students in the classrooms or whether the needs for masks and disinfectants will be covered by the government.
