140 people, including PD leader Lulzim Basha were the victim of a chemical attack yesterday during a kick-off event for the electoral campaign in Tirana.
The Ministry of Health announced today that 140 citizens have sought care in all hospitals of the country. 14 of them are still under observation.
Several injured people arrived in the Mother Theresa Hospital yesterday evening in Tirana, suffering from burning eyes and facial skin. All injuries were temporary.
As a result, PD leader Lulzim Basha canceled all campaign events this morning. The anti-terror units of the police and the secret service are currently investigating the site in front of the Prime Ministry where the chemical attack happened, allegedly by means of a drone.
In a declaration for the press Basha asked for the incident to be investigated and stated that he will continue his campaign this afternoon in Fier.
