The EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi will be in the region this week to present the EU WB6 Annual Reports and Economic/Investment Plans. He will arrive in Tirana this evening to address Parliament and to meet with President Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
He will also meet with the vetting bodies and Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha.
His visit comes two days after the Albanian Socialist majority passed amendments to the electoral code that are widely believed by internationals, to have violated the June 5 agreement as well as the OSCE/ODHIR suggestions.
The news was annouced by EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca on Twitter.
