EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi has gone into quarantine after he was informed that a member of his team tested positive for Covid-19.
On Sunday, Várhelyi announced that he had isolated himself while waiting for the test result.
The commissioner visited Albania and other countries in the region recently but his tests in the past week were negative.
I was informed today that a member of my team tested positive for #COVID19. Pending new test results, myself&team members concerned are self-isolating in line with public health guidelines&teleworking. I feel well, have no symptoms, my tests in past week were negative. Stay safe!
