The head of epidemiology at the Albanian Institute of Public Health, Silva Bino has announced that today the Technical Committee will meet to assess the COVID-19 situation and consider new measures.
She said that one of the main ways the virus is transmitted is through the air.
“The committee will meet tomorrow [Wednesday] and we will discuss the data that we’ve received. We know the routes of transmission of infection. If we did not know at first, we now know that not only can you infect someone with the spray of droplets but also when you speak, the virus stays in the air. The main route of infection is through the air. These are important elements. The main places of infection are closed areas, offices, bars, and restaurants.”
She added that the whole population should be vaccinated to break the chain of infection.
