A COVID-19 patient has committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the Shefqet Ndroqi hospital in Tirana at about midnight on Sunday.
The 52-year-old man from Tropoja was being treated in hospital since October 25, and his condition was serious.
The hospital director, Perlat Kapisyzi stated that the patient had shown no signs of an abnormal psychological condition. He said that the medical staff were shocked over the tragedy.
The patient’s death was announced by the police, who are investigating the case.
This is the third suicide victim among COVID-19 patients in Albania.
