By means of a Facebook post, Prime Minister Edi Rama declared victory in the parliamentary elections of yesterday. The video shows a map of Albania in different shades of fuchsia, with the number 75+ superimposed on it.
Although vote counting is continuing, preliminary results indeed point to an absolute majority of the PS, which victories in all electoral zones except for Kukës.
According to news outlet Ora News, which provides frequent updates on the vote count, the PS would currently hold 76 seats, PD 40, LSI 21, PDIU 2, and PSD 1. As more ballot boxes are counted, smaller parties may still be able to win a few seats at the cost of the larger parties.
