Albania’s electoral administration will receive an increase in pay for the upcoming April 25 elections.
According to a draft decision published by A2 CNN, the lion’s share of the pay increase will go to the heads and deputy-heads of Local Electoral Administrative Committees (KZAZ).
Specifically, the head and deputy-head of a KZAZ will be paid 5000 ALL more than four years ago, which amounts to a total pay of 75000 ALL.
The head and secretary of Electoral Center Committees will be paid 10000 ALL more, whereas members will be paid 5000 ALL more.
Members of vote-counting units will be paid 4000 ALL more according to the draft decision, that foresees their wages going up to 10000 ALL.
The draft decision, expected to be voted on in Parliament today, was drawn up by Central Election Commissions Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi.
