EU ambassador Luigi Soreca has asked the government to adopt the transformation of confiscated criminally-acquired property into social centers as a nation-wide project.
During an interview with News24, Soreca recounted how, for several years now, the EU has begun turning confiscated property in Durrës, Fier, and Saranda, into social centers or small social businesses that employ domestic violence and human trafficking survivors, in order to reintegrate them into society.
Currently, 243 assets have been confiscated as part of the Operation Force of Law (OFL), and have been submitted to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK) for review.
