EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca handed over 30 more medical ventilators to Albania on Friday to help coronavirus patients in serious condition. This is the sixth batch of EU assistance to Albania since April, which brings the total number of ventilators delivered to 80.
In today’s delivery ceremony, Soreca expressed the EU’s full support for the medical staff in their daily fight with the coronavirus, and vital assistance to patients.
He stressed that the EU will continue to be close to Albanians during these tough times.
The EU is supporting Albania with an overall assistance of over €50M, he said, of which €4M for the supply of immediate life-saving medical equipment.
