The EU envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak will visit Kosovo on Tuesday.
The visit was confirmed for the Prishtina-based newspaper Koha. A scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti is the only detail known so far.
Lajcak’s planned his visit following his address to the Foreign Affairs Council on Monday.
“I’m grateful for their genuine interest and strong support. Today’s discussion confirmed that the Dialogue is clearly linked to the European future of Kosovo and Serbia,” Lajcak wrote in his Twitter account.
The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borell during a press conference stated that Lajcak has the full support and unity the Council.
“On Pristina- Belgrade dialogue, our special representative Lajcak informed the Council and we remain determent to bring the dialogue to a successful conclusion asking the parties to work in good faith, in a spirit of compromise between the two,” stated Borrell.
“The success of this dialogue is key for stability of the Western Balkans and for the European Union itself,” he added.
