EU Supports Kosovo with €26.5 Million to Deal with Pandemic Impact

The European Union and the government of Kosovo have signed a contract of €26.5 million to support the country’s plan to counter the impact of COVID-19 crisis.

The contract was signed on Friday by the EU Ambassador Tomas Szunyog and Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti.

Szunyog said that the overall EU emergency support for Kosovo during this time amounts to €160 million. The figure does not take into account the regional support of more than €400 million provided by the EU.

Hoti thanked the EU tax payers and institutions for the continuous support, especially during the pandemic times.
