European Union called on Kosovo and Serbia to cooperate on the vaccination against coronavirus.
However, in an answer for Radio Free Europe on Monday, EU did not clearly answer how it sees the critics from Kosovo about the illegal entry of some vaccines from Serbia.
“We are following the developments and looking at the reports on these developments related to the distribution of vaccines. The authorities in Serbia and Kosovo must work closely together in accordance with the relevant arrangements from the dialogue on the movement of goods and the certification of pharmaceutical products,” the EU foreign and security spokesperson, Peter Stano told Radio Free Europe.
On December 25, Vucic announced that Serbia has started vaccination of Serbs in northern Kosovo.
Kosovo authorities said there was no official information into how and how many vaccines might have entered the country.
Chief Prosecutor of Mitrovica, Shyqri Syla, told Koha newspaper on Monday that they are looking into the available information before formally launching an investigation.
Kosovo’s Acting President, Vjosa Osmani called it “a flagrant violation” of agreements reached in the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by European Union.
