The European Union welcomed the decision of Albania and Greece to discuss the sea agreement in the international court.
EU spokeswoman Ana Pisonero wrote on Twitter that:
“The EU welcomes the announcement of the two governments to resolve the maritime issue. Issues related to border change must be resolved through dialogue, in accordance with international law and respect of the principle of good neighbourly relations.”
Prime Minister Rama and Greek Foreign Minister Dendias announced that the issue would be resolved at the Hague Tribunal.
