Three members of a family in the area of Vasil Shanto have threatened to jump from the terrace of their house if the authorities demolish it. The property is due to be torn down to make way for the reconstruction of the road.
The Local Urban Inspectorate tried to demolish the house on Tuesday morning, but the head of the family hit the INUV employees with tiles, forcing them to withdraw for the moment.
The relatives insist that their house has proper documents and express their willingness to leave the house only when they receive the right compensation.
According to them, the municipality has not informed them about the compensation they deserve and the place where they will live after their house is demolished.
So far, INUV has demolished only one building that was affected by the road plan.
