The first round of the presidential elections, held yesterday at 18:00 in Parliament, failed due to the absence of any official candidate for the position. Even though no candidates were voted, the round itself is constitutionally valid.
In a press statement, Parliament announces that the second round will be held today at 15:00.
At 13:00, the parliamentary Committee for Legal Issues, Public Administration, and Human Rights will convene to review the candidate list and report back to Parliament. Yet so far, no official candidates have been presented.
