The Albanian Ministry of Health announced yesterday that five pregnant women and 35 children have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
Institute of Public Health specialist, Rovena Daja said that four of the pregnant women and 22 of the children had recovered so far.
She called on citizens to avoid travelling between cities to try and limit the spread of the disease. One of the pregnant women, from Fier, caught the disease due to travelling between two cities, Daja said.
So far 31 people have lost their lives to the virus, and around 70% have recovered.
