Four New Coronavirus Infections Bring Total to 59 in Albania

Four new coronavirus infected people tested in the last 24 hours have brought the total to 59, including two deaths.

The Institute of Public Health informed that three of the four had been in contact with previously infected patients.

Authorities have conducted tests on 665 people in the country, with 60 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The map of those infected covers Tirana (42), Durres (5 – one dead), Fier (6), Lushnje (2 – one dead), Elbasan (2), Rrogozhina (2).

A total of 30 patients are hospitalized in the Mother Theresa Hospital in Tirana. Three of them are in intensive care while the rest are in stable condition.

Nine medical staff have tested positive – eight at the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital in Tirana and one in the Durres Hospital. Meanwhile, tests for 17 other medical staff in the Fier Hospital resulted negative.
