The Germany Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned German citizens that Albania is a high-risk country for COVID-19.
A post on the German Embassy in Tirana Facebook page emphasized that the health services in the country is not on a par with that in Germany and those returning from Albania will need to quarantine for 14 days. This will apply to both German citizens and other nationals.

It also said that Albania has limited testing opportunities and it is not possible to do tests privately.
The Ministry warned against all unnecessary travel including vacations and family visits. The warning is in place until 31 August 2020.
