Germany has repatriated 19 Albanians for overstaying in the Schengen area or seeking asylum for unfounded reasons.
Deputy Interior Minister Rovena Voda announced the repatriation and called on everyone not to abuse their stay in the Schengen area countries, and to refrain from seeking asylum.
She added that more repatriations are expected in the coming days from France and the UK.
Some of those who were sent back to Albania had committed criminal offenses in Germany.
Voda said the government is working to further strengthen border control, and find ways to raise awareness on the need to comply with visa-free travel conditions.
