Government Allows Albanian Emigrants Stranded at the Border to Enter the Country

The 27 Albanians stranded at the border with Greece have now entered Albania. They will remain isolated in a Korça hotel for 14 days. The entry was reportedly refused to 13 other Albanian nationals who are residents in Greece.

Dozens of Albanian emigrants have been stuck at the Kapshtica entry point as the Albanian customs denied them entry due to the coronavirus preventative measures that have closed the country’s borders.

Monday, the Prime Minister announced that all Albanian residents who want to enter Albania via land will be quarantined in hotels for 14 days at their own expense.
