Prime Minister Edi Rama has called for Albanians to be patient as his government will make public a financial assistance package on Thursday.
According to his Facebook post, the government will set forth measures to combat the economic fallout of many citizens being forced to leave work due to the closure of many premises. He said that the government will pay the salaries of everyone at the end of the month.
“The end of the month will not come without payment for everyone who is at home as a consequence of the business where they work closing,” he said.
Rama asked people to be calm and quiet and to await the publication of the financial compensation plan on Thursday.
