Greece Opens Border with North Macedonia

Greece opened its border with North Macedonia after over 14 months due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Citizens of North Macedonia wishing to enter Greece need to prove they have either had and passed COVID-19, provide a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours, or be vaccinated.

Greece accepts all the vaccines, including Chinese and Russian.

The decision of the Greek government has to do with the significant improvement of the epidemiological situation in North Macedonia.

The Ministry of Health of North Macedonia reported on Friday 30 new cases of coronavirus infections out of 1,658 tested, and 16 victims. About 150,000 citizens have been vaccinated.

Greece has announced today that the border crossing with Albania in Kapshtica, remains closed as the country decided on extending measures against COVID-19 until May 24.
