The Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) announced that the Special Appeals Chamber’s session on Judge Bashkim Dedja, Head of the Constitutional Court, will be held on 12 December, 2018.
Dedja was confirmed by the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK), but the International Monitoring Operation (ONM) opposed the ruling and the Public Commissioner (KP) appealed the case to the Special Appeals Chamber (KPA), on grounds of the KPK’s double standards.
As Exit.al has explained before, Bashkim Dedja and Vitore Tusha are the only two remaining members of the Constitutional Court (GjK).
In the case the KPA will rule to drop the ruling of the KPK judicial body and so Dedja will leave his seat at the Constitutional Court then the KED will not be able to form.
