Today, 33 medical staff in Durres have protested the government’s failure to pay them the bonuses it promised to doctors and nurses on the ‘line of fire’ in the ‘fight’ against coronavirus.
The head of the Health Workers Union, Zija Alhysa said they would enter a strike if the government didn’t deliver.
He said that, since November 26, these professionals have not been paid for their overtime work. Alhysa added that they had faced pressure not make the issue public.
