Investigation Started After PD Activist Claims Police Chief Broke Her Arm

An investigation has been launched after a Democratic Party activist claimed her arm was broken after she was prevented from filming a Socialist Party event by the Police Chief of Divjake.

Elsa Bita was filming an event taking place as it is the day of Electoral Silence when such events are prohibited. She said he was approached by four people, including the Chief of Police, who assaulted her and took her phone. She was then treated in the hospital for a broken arm.

 

The Ministry of Interior announced that an investigation has been launched into the violence against activist Elsa Bita. This includes an investigation by the Prosecution and Internal Affairs, as well as an administrative investigation by the Directorate of Professional Standards. They said any measures taken following the investigation, will be made public.
