Less than a week before the elections, the IPR/Ora News poll from yesterday night shows little movement, with all major parties having consolidated their positions.
Neither the violence toward LSI supporters and President-Elect Ilir Meta’s threats to arm his supporters, nor Prime Minister Edi Rama’s call to police officers to campaign for the PS seem to have significantly influenced voter preferences.
In spite of the popularity of the PS, nearly half of the PS voters, 44.5%, do not want Edi Rama as prime minister and would prefer a technocrat. A technocratic prime minister without a background in politics is even more popular among PD voters (65.1%) and LSI voters (84.3%). Overall, more than half of the voters (56.7%) rejects a politician as prime minister.
Projected turn-out numbers remain low at 55%, up 0.3% from last IPR/Ora News Poll on June 14.
