KFOS Donates 100,000 PCR Tests for Kosovo

The Kosovo Foundation for Open Society [KFOS] donated 100,000 COVID- 19 tests to the Kosovo government on Wednesday.

A press release issued by KFOS reads that in September they pledged 1.5 million dollars to purchase 100,000 RT PCR test kits for COVID.

“Produced in the European Union, the donated test kits include tests and chemicals allowing for the Kosovo public institutions to diagnose COVID-19. The donation is part of larger COVID-19 relief efforts of the global network of the Open Society Foundations,” the press release reads.

The Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj wrote on Facebook that these tests and many others to come are dedicated to all citizens of Kosovo.

“This donation is a valuable contribution in increasing the testing capacities for diagnosing COVID-19 infections in Kosovo,” said Minister Zemaj.
