Kosovo Designates Hezbollah a Terrorist Organization 

The Government of Kosovo has declared “Hezbollah” a terrorist organization.

The decision was approved in the Hoti Government’s meeting on Wednesday. 

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, in order to maintain national, regional and global security, protection of state interests and active participation in international alliances to fight terrorist groups, has approved the decision to declare the Global Terrorist Organization “Hezbollah”, its political and military wing, a terrorist organization in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo,” the decision read.

Hezbollah is a Shia political party based in Lebanon, with a powerful armed wing supported by Iran. Its activities have extend to several countries with Muslim majority during political unrest and wars.

Eighteen countries, the European Union and the Arab League have designated Hezbollah a terrorist group.
