Kosovo has lost 23 doctors and nurses since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in March, 17 doctors and 6 nurses have lost their lives in Kosovo, Kosova Press reports.
Doctor Gëzim Berisha, 52, was the last one to succumb to the virus in early December.
The President of the Kosovo Chamber of Physicians, Pleurat Sejdiu has stated that in total 1,130 doctors have been infected with the virus, 17 of which have died.
At least 25 doctors have died in Albania, while the number of nurses is not clear.
