Kosovo Parliament is expected to vote on the new government on June 3.
The Democractic League of Kosovo (LDK), the country’s second largest party, has requested the Parliament to hold a plenary session on Wednesday, after the Constitutional Court published its full verdict on the President Hashim Thaci’s decrees regarding the new government formation.
Head of the LDK parliamentary group Arben Gashi told journalists the session is expected to be held at 11.00 am. He added that the LDK has 64-65 votes in the 120-seat parliament, more than the 61 needed.
President Hashim Thaci has nominated LDK’s Avdullah Hoti as candidate for Prime Minister.
Kosovo’s largest party Vetevendosje (LVV) of Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called the Constitutional Court ruling “unjust” and “unacceptable”. They are expected to comment on the full verdict published today.
