Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia mediated by the European Union, will restart on July 12.
EU spokesperson for external affairs Peter Stano confirmed on Monday that Kosovo’s Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, and Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic will meet in Brussels to resume the dialogue on July 12. The meeting will be hosted by EU High Representative Josep Borrell and EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak.
Stano added that this meeting will mark the restart of Serbia-Kosovo dialogue and the normalization of relations between the two countries, dealing with all outstanding issues.
Two days ahead of the meeting, on July 10, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will host a virtual summit on the Kosov0-Serbia dialogue.
The EU-facilitated meeting between the two countries’ representatives comes after a meeting planned to be held in Washington on June 27 was cancelled after news of Kosovo’s President Thaci being indicted for war crimes came out.
