Representatives of Serb community in Kosovo’s institutions boycotted the Government meeting on Monday, the Prishtina- based news agency Ekonomia Online reported.
The deputy Prime Minister Goran Rakic and the Minister of Communities and Return, Delibor Jevtic, both representing Srpska Lista [Serbian List]did not participate at the meeting called from Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti.
The Serbian List which represents Serbs in Kosovo institutions and which is part of the ruling coalition also boycotted the last parliamentary session held last week.
Ekonomia Online reported that they have warned to leave institutions if their requests are not fulfilled.
Ilir Ferati, MP of the ruling Democratic League of Kosovo recently told T7 TV that their ruling partner requested establishing a public enterprise with an anti-constitutional name.
“I have heard that the Serbian List is requesting to establish a public enterprise in the Serb- majority municipalities, with an anti-constitutional name. I do not know the name. It is about a public enterprise,” he said.
Serbian List is backed by Belgrade in Kosovo’s institutions, which always works in line with the Serb President, Aleksandar Vucic.
According to Kosovo’s Constitution, there shall be at least one Minister from the Kosovo Serb Community and one Minister from another Kosovo non-majority Community. If there are more than twelve Ministers, the Government shall have a third Minister representing a Kosovo non-majority Community.
Currently, the Serbian List has 11 out of 120 MPs in the Assembly of Kosovo.
