KPK Schedules First Non-Priority Hearing

The Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) has scheduled the first hearing of a non-priority magistrate. On October 10, the KPK will hold a session with Entela Prifti, President of the Civil Appeals Court in Korça.

Meanwhile, three priority candidates for the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP), Besnik Cani, Shpëtim Kurti, and Ramadan Troci remain to be vetted. It remains unclear whether the new candidate for the High Judicial Council (KLGj) and the Constitutional Court, Luan Dervishi, will now be vetted with priority as well, and whether the same expedited procedure will be followed for the new candidates for the KLP.

Today, Parliament is expected to discuss a request of the vetting institutions to increase their personnel due to the unexpectedly high workload.
