The police has announced that the Kurbin Prosecution has opened investigations into 26 people that took part in the protest organized by the opposition on April 5 in Milot. 23 of them are accused of participating in an illegal manifestation and obstructing movement in the Mamurras-Milot road segment. The remaining 3, who set fire to car tires on the segment, stand accused of environmental pollution.
On Thursday, citizens and Members of the Parliament blocked the country’s four main roads.
The Milot roundabout was blocked by MPs from northern municipalities. In Milot, the police appealed to the protesters to disperse, as their manifestation was illegal. The Democrat MPs labelled these appeals as provocation and asked the police to refrain from creating clashes with the citizens.
Meanwhile, the Prosecution Office has opened another investigation into 32 opposition members covering all the protests on April 5.
