Speaker of Parliament, President-Elect, and former LSI leader Ilir Meta was invited yesterday evening in Studio e Hapur of Eni Vasili.
In the interview Speaker Meta repeated the certainty expressed previously by LSI leader Petrit Vasili that his former party has a change of becoming the largest in Parliament, and that “no political power will take more than 52 or 53 mandates.”
I want to tell them before the ballot boxes are opened how many mandates the LSI will win. I say that the LSI has all the possibilities of becoming the largest party. […] LSI is in an equal position with PS and PD. It is a complete equal competition between the three main parties.
Like Vasili, Meta was not surprised about the agreement between the PD and PS: “I have heard them often talk about the German model, a bipolar model.”
The only discontent I feel toward Edi Rama is that he should have solved the crisis as much earlier. It was necessary that Albania didn’t become ashamed of itself, that Albanians didn’t have to have another saga of suffering.
As regards a possible continuation of the coalition with the PS after the elections, Meta declared that “there hasn’t been any invitation and the LSI hasn’t had any refusal about coalitions.”
We didn’t receive any serious invitation, only provocation and cheating. LSI had been clear that it will express itself about a coalition once its mandate has ended and the judicial reform has finished.
