Government Calls on Albanians to Support Local Tourism

Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj has called on Albanians to support local tourism during this summer, and help the country recover after the November 2019 earthquake and Covid-19.

On Monday, Denaj visited businesses in Durrës that have benefited from the government support.

The Minister called on Albanians in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia to spend their holidays and money on products “Made in Albania”.

The World Bank and EBRD have predicted that tourism will be one of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Albanian government is yet to draft a concrete plan for its recovery, despite calls for one by the industry and the President.
